As the storm inches closer and closer to me,
I stop to ponder my life’s work,
All the laughter I have shared,
All the heartache I have endured,
All the love I have given,
All the grief I have taken,
Then a smile arises on my face,
I realize to myself,
My life’s work is not finished,
Filled with courage and determination,
I run outside to shout at the sky
“Storm you shall pass over me, I still have much work to do and my work will not be left unfinished.“
